Deposit / Balance Due Calculator

Calculate a received deposit, remaining balance, total received percentage, or credit / overpayment balance before preparing an invoice or receipt. Runs in your browser with no signup.

Calculate Deposit And Remaining Balance

Use this browser-based calculator after money has been received or credited. Enter the agreed total and received deposit amount to see the remaining balance, total received percentage, or a positive Credit / Overpayment Balance before you create or update an invoice or receipt.

Used for display only. No currency conversion is performed.

Remaining Balance0.00
Deposit Percentage0%
Total Received0.00
How this is calculated: Remaining Balance = Total Agreed Amount - Deposit Received. If the deposit received is greater than the total, the result is shown as a credit / overpayment balance. Deposit Percentage = Deposit Received ÷ Total Agreed Amount × 100.
Note: This calculator is for organization and estimation only. Review your own agreement, invoice wording, local rules, and actual payment records before sharing a document.

How To Use The Deposit And Balance Calculator

Use this calculator after a customer has already paid or been credited for part of the job and you need to show the remaining amount clearly. Enter the agreed total and the amount received to calculate the remaining balance or, if the payment is higher than the total, the Credit / Overpayment Balance.

For a requested deposit that has not been paid yet, use the Advance Deposit Calculator and place the wording in estimate or invoice terms. On the final invoice or receipt, use this calculator to confirm the deposit actually received, the remaining balance, or any credit / overpayment amount.

  • State whether the deposit is refundable, non-refundable, or applied to the final balance, if applicable.
  • Show the deposit amount separately from the total job price.
  • Use a receipt after receiving the deposit.
  • Use the final invoice to show amount paid and balance due after payment is actually received.
