Sources Policy

How changing claims are sourced, verified, limited, and corrected.

ClearPaperwork uses an official-sources-first standard for tax, regulatory, and government-process claims.

Preferred Sources

  1. The responsible state or federal agency.
  2. An official rate lookup, statute, regulation, bulletin, or agency guidance page.
  3. Primary technical documentation for browser or software behavior.
  4. Reputable secondary material only when a primary source is unavailable or needs context.

State Tax Pages

An indexable state page should display the authority name, a direct source link, a direct rate-lookup link where available, the date actually verified, the named reviewer, the scope of the page, and a correction path. A state page that cannot be sourced and maintained should remain noindex rather than publish an unsupported rate.

Examples And Market Figures

Worked calculations may use clearly fictional numbers to demonstrate math. They must not be presented as typical prices, market rates, survey results, or customer outcomes. Real price ranges require a credible source or an approved anonymized operational source with limitations explained.

Legal And Professional Limits

Official guidance can be summarized, but ClearPaperwork does not determine a user’s taxability, legal rights, licensing duties, contract enforceability, record-retention obligations, or professional compliance. Khurram Naeem Jaswal is not a CPA, attorney, or Enrolled Agent.

Verification And Maintenance

A “last verified” date means the linked source was actually checked on that date. Review dates are not advanced automatically. Broken links, known rate changes, or credible correction reports trigger a new review.

Corrections

Send a direct official source and the affected URL through the Corrections Policy.
